All pups opened their eyes in the past week and start to waggle around in the whelping box.
It gets crowded between Chimays paws:

and their life is mainly sleeping and eating:

Ronald

Today we got very sad news, our dear friend Ronald has died.
On the funeral card was written it was a fatal accident on February 21st.
He was only 45 years old.

We met in 1982 when we both lived in the same students-home.
He was always there when we needed him, our dogs all loved him.
He was with us last Christmas, we had a good meal and a great evening, can't believe he won't come here again...

The picture above was taken exactly 4 years ago, Ronald was visiting and I was playing with me new camera. Today I am very happy I have this photo.

E-litter born

Yesterday our E-litter was born: 4 red males and 3 red females.
Here the first picture of Chimay with her litter:

Chimay has a big belly

We weighed her at the vet today, in 8 weeks she gained 9 kilo! Her normal weight is 23,5 kilo and now it is 32,5 kilo.
To be sure the vet took a x-ray. We counted 7 heads, so there are 7 pups on their way ;-)

And spring is coming, the yellow crocus is flowering.
