Happy Birthday Chimay!
Today Chimay is celebrating her sixth birthday.
Her littermates from our C-litter too, Happy Birthday Cajou, Chow, Cheina, Castro and Ginger!
To celebrate this special day, a few pictures of Chimay from the past year. I have not many pictures to choose from, as Chimay does not like to be pictured...
This was really a lucky shot, Chimay and Eoos playing in the garden.
Chimay is not very playful, she does it maybe once a month for five or ten minutes ;-) June 17th I was lucky, I had the camera in my hands when Chimay and Eoos started to play.

visiting Cindy and Chows
Friday November 13th we left very early in the morning to France.
Our first destination was Corbelin, a small village east of Lyon, where Cindy and Julie live with their Chow Chows.
They have 6 Chow Chows, two of them are smooth:
Cajou (Xin-Feng's Cajou), litter sister of Chimay
and Dune (Latte Macchiato of the Royal Club), a half-sister of Cajou as she has the same sire (Multi CH. Paramount Stylish Smooth)

We spend the evening talking about Chow Chows ;-)
The next morning we put ourselves and the Chows in the car again and went to the south of France.

D-litter at the Young Dogs Day of the Dutch Chow Chow Club
Every year in September the Dutch Chow Chow Club organises the Young Dogs Day. This is not an official show, but all attending young Chow Chows (from 3 to 24 months) are reviewed. For some Chow-owners it is their first step before entering a "real" show.
Four of Chimay's puppies were there and her sister Ginger (Xin-Feng's Charming Ginger). The four "D's" attending were the smooth female Demi (Xin-Feng's Demeter), the rough females Desna (Xin-Feng's Desdemona) and Demi (Xin-Feng's Draupadi) and the smooth male Dao (Xin-Feng's Dao).

Xin-Feng's Crackers
I got sad news from France this week: Xin-Feng's Crackers, litterbrother of our Chimay, died in an accident.

Xin-Feng's Dao
Today we visited Dao and Ginger, they live with Jan and Jessica in Veenendaal. Ginger (Xin-Feng's Charming Ginger) is Chimays sister and Dao's aunt.
Ginger and Dao were both happy to see us back and we had a nice evening in Veenendaal.
Dao dislikes the photo camera, just like his mom Chimay, but I managed to take a few decent pictures ;-)
